About the company
Ananda hemp operates out of Kentucky, where it utilizes seeds from Ecofibre, which holds the largest cannabis seed bank in the world.
The good:
- Ananda Hemp’s parent company is Ecofibre Ltd., an Australian genetic development company with an eighteen-year operating history, according to LinkedIn.
- Ecofibre is a publically traded company on the Australian market, worth $500 million plus. Some consider this better than buying CBD from the guy down the street who made it in his garage.
- Ananda hemp sells directly to pharmacies, under the Ananda Professional brand.
- A- rating by the Better Business Bureau.
The bad:
According to a May 2019 ABC 7 investigative report for toxic CBD products, “One product — by Ananda Hemp — contained levels of lead so high, it exceeded by 100 times what the EPA would consider actionable for drinking water.”
Other sizes available
We tested the $44.99 bottle (300 mL) of the Full Spectrum 300 CBD oil. The company also offers a full spectrum 600 CBD oil ($89.95). However, the higher potency version is not the same formula and we can’t provide information on its cannabinoid levels, accuracy, or value.
Other Products by Ananda Hemp
Ananda hemp offers CBD oils, gels, topicals, pet products, and intimate oils (one of the first companies to provide a CBD product for sex).
