The unadulterated test results on this page come directly from these certificates of analysis from two independent labs, which we pay directly. These are two independent lab tests of one product, at one point in time. We do not guarantee that all products or labs will produce the same results. Lab results may differ based on the different methodologies of testing used by each lab or inconsistencies in the product. Added ingredients may affect lab results. Volume of creams and edibles may change due to factors such as temperature, and this may impact lab results. Learn more about our review process.
Canna River claims to have approximately 16 mg (16.67 mg according to their front label) of CBD per 1 mL serving. Our independent labs found that each 1 mL serving contains over 18 mg of CBD and up to 1 mg of THC.
The average full-spectrum extract (products with CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids) costs 10 cents per milligram of CBD, according to my 2020 analysis of over 800 CBD products. Canna River 1000 mg came in at 3.2 cents per milligram of CBD.

Canna River claims this is a full spectrum extract. Our lab tests confirmed a full spectrum hemp extract containing CBD, THC, CBC, CBG, and trace levels of other cannabinoids.
The independent labs found that Canna River 1000 mg contained about 10% more CBD than suggested by their label, which is excellent.
CannaRiver is out of Thousand Oaks, California. Check out my company profile here. I also tested their 5000 mg formula, which is an even better deal.
3.2 cents per milligram of CBD is excellent for an excellent full spectrum at the $35 price range. The average CBD price is 10 cents per milligram. The price is great, but the cost becomes phenomenal if you move up to their 5000mg formula.
The viscosity is light and the dropper is clear. It already looks like it will taste good from the get go. It’s lemon raspberry flavor and it’s delicious. The lemon and raspberry are subtle. It’s not too tart. It is a little sweet but tastes good, given that I'm not a fan of sucralose. The after flavor has some hemp flavor, but not the earthy flavor, more of a natural tobacco note that's common in stronger full spectrums. The hemp flavor is excellent or as excellent as hemp flavor can be. Overall: fantastic flavor.
Over 18 mg of CBD is low to moderate. The under 1 mg of THC may provide some extra relief. It’s also got some low levels of other cannabinoids that may give it some additional boost. It’s a decent full spectrum extract. However, their 5000 mg formula is more impressive.
*It's common to see CBD doses at 5 mg, 15 mg, 25 mg, and 50 mg for consumer products.Researchers use much larger doses (25 mg to 1500 mg of CBD). CBD dosing is highly individualized.
The looks shine. Everything is top-notch.
Canna River's 1000 mg price is excellent. The taste is excellent. This 1000 mg formula is all-around great. However, everything about their 5000mg formula is more impressive.
