We purchased this CBD product and tested it at independent testing facilities to measure levels of CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids and compare the results to the manufacturer's claims. Here are the results. (Learn more about our review process.)
The unadulterated test results on this page come directly from these certificates of analysis from two independent labs, which we pay directly. These are two independent lab tests of one product, at one point in time. We do not guarantee that all products or labs will produce the same results. Lab results may differ based on the different methodologies of testing used by each lab or inconsistencies in the product. Added ingredients may affect lab results. Volume of creams and edibles may change due to factors such as temperature, and this may impact lab results. Learn more about our review process.
CBD Living claims to have 10 mg of CBD per 1-gummy serving. They don’t state the weight of each gummy, so we’ve calculated the average weight per gummy to be 2.590 g. Based on our lab results, which measured in grams, we found that each 1-gummy serving contains between 6.91 mg and 8.88 mg of CBD and 0 mg of THC.
*It's common to see CBD doses at 5 mg, 15 mg, 25 mg, and 50 mg for consumer products. Researchers use much larger doses (25 mg to 1500 mg of CBD). CBD dosing is highly individualized.
Instructions: None on package.
CBD Living claims this is a broad spectrum product, suggesting that it contains CBD, other cannabinoids, and no THC. Our lab tests found only CBD, making this a CBD-only product, not a broad spectrum product.
The test results from two independent labs varied widely, even though we sent samples from the same bottle to both labs. Lab A found 30.92% less CBD (a "D" score), while Lab B found 11.16% less CBD (a "B" score). Inconsistency within the product could result in wide variance within the same bottle.
* CBD Living's packaging does not disclose the net weight of the package (in grams) so we calculated it to measure the accuracy of their CBD mg claims. The total weight of the gummies in this package was 77.7 g, which we calculated by taking the average weight of a gummy (2.590 g) and multiplying that by the total gummies in the package (30).
My lab tests showed that their gummies contained 11 to 31 percent fewer CBD milligrams than suggest by their label. Samples from the same bottle may produce different results if the gummies are not thoroughly mixed during manufacturing. There can also be differences in testing methodologies, but this company seems to have a lousy track record. An older news investigation also found that CBD living provided inaccurate test results.
At 14.5 cents per milligram of CBD, these are above the average price for gummies. It's also listed as broad-spectrum, which should include additional cannabinoids but there are no other cannabinoids found in this product.
This CBD gummy bear looks like a gummy bear and tastes like a gummy bear. It's tastes good. It's too bad that CBD living failed a bunch of independent lab tests, including mine.
