About the company

Nutra Pure LLC owns CBDPure. ExcellentHemp and Swift CBD are also Nutra Pure brands. Nutra Pure was incorporated in 2012 and operates out of Vancouver, Washington. Despite the company being around for years, there is little information on their size, employees, and revenue.

The good:

  • Nutra Pure is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has an A+ rating.
  • Our lab tests found that CBDPure had more CBD than claimed by their label and tested within 7.1% accuracy.

The bad:

  • CBDPure was issued an FDA warning letter for making medical claims that CBD treats Alzheimer’s Disease, anxiety, depression, and other serious medical conditions. While some research exists, it is not conclusive and the FDA strictly prohibits CBD manufacturers making these false claims.
  • In one user review on the BBB, the reviewer failed a drug test on a product that Nutra Pure allegedly advertised “you will not fail a drug test.” The response from Nutra was not compassionate. Several filed complaints with the BBB also claim poor customer service and fraudulent credit card charges. (It’s a total of five complaints over seven years, which is not too bad.)
  • CBDPure does not mention that you could fail a drug test from their products. Even after complaints from a person who was fired from his/her Job, CBDPure still has a statement that may be misleading for consumers. According to CBDPure: “Will CBD make me fail a drug test? CBD is considered to be undetectable in saliva or urine tests. All CBDPure products comply with applicable regulations regarding tetrahydrocannabinol content.”
  • The hemp oil was labeled full-spectrum, which suggests that it contains THC. However, the lab tests provided on the CBDPure website claim no THC (non-detectable levels of THC). Our lab test found that this product does contain 1.5 mg of THC, which is small but detectable. Consumers may be confused if their products contain THC or not.

Other sizes available

The Hemp Oil 100 is $29. You can buy three bottles for $69.99 ($23.33 per bottle) and six bottles for $124.99 ($20.83 per bottle). The price drops from 28 cents per mg of CBD to around 19 cents per mg of CBD when you buy more.

Quantity Cost Total estimated CBD Cost per mg of CBD
2 oz. (60 mL) bottle $29.99 107.100 mg $0.280
3 bottles (180 ml) $69.99 321.300 mg $0.218
6 bottles (360 ml) $124.99 642.600 mg $0.195

They also make this hemp oil in strengths of 300 mg ($54.99) and 600 mg ($79.99). However, these higher potency versions are not the same formula as the 100 mg ($29) bottle that we tested and we can’t provide information on their cannabinoid levels, accuracy, or value.
