We purchased this CBD product and tested it at independent testing facilities to measure levels of CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids and compare the results to the manufacturer's claims. Here are the results. (Learn more about our review process.)
The unadulterated test results on this page come directly from these certificates of analysis from two independent labs, which we pay directly. These are two independent lab tests of one product, at one point in time. We do not guarantee that all products or labs will produce the same results. Lab results may differ based on the different methodologies of testing used by each lab or inconsistencies in the product. Added ingredients may affect lab results. Volume of creams and edibles may change due to factors such as temperature, and this may impact lab results. Learn more about our review process.
The bottle states 8.33 mg of hemp extract per serving and we found 8.061 mg of total cannabinoids per serving, which includes 7.899 mg of CBD and 0.100 mg of THC per serving.
Joy Organics lists this CBD Oil Tincture as a “broad spectrum” hemp extract that includes many cannabinoids but with zero THC. Our lab found CBD, low levels of CBG and CBDa, and trace levels of THC. The amount of THC per bottle was 3 mg.
Update: These low levels of THC are below the detection level used by many labs. Many labs would report this product as having no THC or non-detectable levels. I've included an update with a response from the Joy Organics owner below.
Joy Organics explicitly states on their website: "Zero THC. According to a study by the University of Pennsylvania, nearly 70% of CBD extracts sold online are mislabeled. You don’t have to worry about unwanted THC showing up in Joy Organics CBD — our lab reports show no detectable THC.”
You can take this extract sublingually or mix it with a food or drink.
