We purchased this CBD product and tested it at independent testing facilities to measure levels of CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids and compare the results to the manufacturer's claims. Here are the results. (Learn more about our review process.)
The unadulterated test results on this page come directly from these certificates of analysis from two independent labs, which we pay directly. These are two independent lab tests of one product, at one point in time. We do not guarantee that all products or labs will produce the same results. Lab results may differ based on the different methodologies of testing used by each lab or inconsistencies in the product. Added ingredients may affect lab results. Volume of creams and edibles may change due to factors such as temperature, and this may impact lab results. Learn more about our review process.
Lazarus claims to have 15 mg of CBD per 1 mL. We found that each 1 mL contains about 17 mg of CBD, 0.5 mg of THC, 1 mg CBC, and 0.3 mg CBG. The milliliter breakdown gives you an idea of potency to compare to other products. However, Lazarus gives serving recommendations in drops (see instructions above).
*It’s common to see oral CBD products with doses for pets at 1 mg, 3 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, to over 25 mg. We recommend speaking with a veterinarian or following manufacturer directions. CBD dosing is highly individualized in humans and our pets share the same unique endocannabinoid system. The type of CBD product, the kind of pet, size of pet, conditions, the severity of conditions, and individual tolerances will dramatically change your pet's ideal CBD dose.
Lazarus Naturals is exceptionally cheap. Lazarus Naturals would be an excellent price at 3.7 cents per milligram of CBD. The average full-spectrum extract costs 10 cents per milligram of CBD. However, their new bottle comes with 1200 mg of CBD for $38. The bottle we tested here claimed 900 mg for $38. Their new bottle comes with 33% more CBD for the same price! We'll need to lab test their new formula but it looks like it will be in the 2-cents-per-milligram of CBD range. Extreme cheapness.
Update: This bottle now comes with 1200 mg CBD for the same price.

Less than 15lbs: 3 drops (1.5mg) 15-30lbs: 6 drops (3mg) 30-60lbs: 10 drops (5mg) Over 60lbs: 20 drops (10mg)
Lazarus Naturals claims this is a full-spectrum hemp extract. Our lab tests confirmed a full-spectrum hemp extract that contains CBD, THC, CBC, some CBG, and possibly trace levels of other cannabinoids. This is a potent full-spectrum hemp extract.
The independent labs found Lazarus contained 12% to 15% more CBD than suggested by their label.
Lazarus Naturals is one of my favorite CBD brands of all time. Why? They’re cheap. Very cheap. I am also cheap. Lazarus Naturals products test well at my independent labs and are rich in rare cannabinoids. Lazarus Naturals also offers up to 60% off to people in need, which I respect. I’ve also tested their CBD lotion, isolate, and full-spectrum extract (for humans). This Calming Pet CBD tincture is a potent full-spectrum extract at an excellent cost and I'm happy that they added even more CBD to it for the same price.
