We purchased this CBD product and tested it at independent testing facilities to measure levels of CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids and compare the results to the manufacturer's claims. Here are the results. (Learn more about our review process.)
* Products tested prior to 2020 were sent to only one independent testing facility.
The unadulterated test results on this page come directly from these certificates of analysis from two independent labs, which we pay directly. These are two independent lab tests of one product, at one point in time. We do not guarantee that all products or labs will produce the same results. Lab results may differ based on the different methodologies of testing used by each lab or inconsistencies in the product. Added ingredients may affect lab results. Volume of creams and edibles may change due to factors such as temperature, and this may impact lab results. Learn more about our review process.
Plant People claim to have 21 mg of cannabinoids per 1 milliliter. Both independent labs found about 19 mg of total cannabinoids, including about 17 mg of CBD, 0.6 mg of THC, and about 1 mg of CBC. Plant People recommend half a dropper or 0.5 mL. It’s a labeled dropper, so it’s easy to change your dose.
It's common to see CBD doses at 5 mg, 15 mg, 25 mg, and 50 mg. 8.5 mg of CBD for their 0.5 mL dose is on the low side and would be considered a beginner dose. The 0.5 mL dose contains about 0.3 mg of THC, which is low and shouldn’t cause any side effects (although it could potentially risk a failed drug test).
This is a good product for someone who wants a low dose of the full-spectrum extract (CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids) from an echo friendly company. Make sure you see our lab results of their 720 mg formula before purchasing this product.
Plant People claim this is a full-spectrum hemp extract, which implies CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids. They do not specify CBD levels, which is a disappointment for anyone who is buying this CBD product for CBD.
Our lab tests confirmed that it is a full-spectrum hemp extract that contains CBD, THC, CBC, and trace amounts of other cannabinoids.
We found that Plant People contained 9% to 11% fewer cannabinoids than suggested by their label. Lab A found trace levels of CBG and other cannabinoids, but they were below the detection level for Lab B.
Plant People recommend using this product sublingually (under the tongue).
