About the product

R+R Medicinals claims this is a full-spectrum hemp extract, which should include CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids. Our lab tests confirmed a full-spectrum hemp extract that contains CBD, THC, CBC, and CBG.

We found that R+R Medicinals contained 9% to 18% more cannabinoids than suggested by their label, which is good. However, our labs measured total cannabinoids because R+R Medicinals does not specify CBD levels. R+R Medicinals would be exceptionally accurate if they established that the milligrams on the front of their bottle were milligrams of CBD.

You can take this product sublingually or mix it with a food or drink.

Jeremy’s Take

R+R Medicinals is one of the top-selling CBD brands on Amazon. I was initially critical of this Colorado CBD brand because Amazon does not allow the sale of CBD. R+R Medicinals was not transparent about CBD or THC in their products. However, much of the CBD industry has now removed CBD and THC from their labels due to marketing restrictions. I tested their 1000 mg formula in the past. It was an excellent full-spectrum extract at a fantastic price.

Cost:

At under 4 cents per milligram of CBD, this extract is cheaper than 90 percent of CBD oils on the market. It’s super-duper cheap. And it has a lot of cannabinoids.

Taste:

This will put hair on the breasts, let me tell you. R+R Medicinals even warns you that this has a naturally intense flavor, and they do not recommend this to those who are sensitive to the taste of hemp. I respect that. This has an extremely potent, natural, and harsh hemp flavor. The hemp is so strong that it almost has a tobacco or oak flavor. It’s for cowboys, but they warned you. The reason that it tastes so damn strong is that it is strong. It has an abundance of CBD, THC, CBC, and CBG in each milliliter.

Strength:

A decent CBD dose for a novice CBD user might be 9 mg of CBD per milliliter. R+R Medicinals has about 90 mg of CBD. Plus, it has 2 mg of THC, 1 mg of CBC, and 1 mg of CBG. It doesn’t get much more potent than this. The 2 mg of THC will put sensitive individuals at risk of THC’s “high” effects. You should also expect to fail a drug test with this product, but maybe it’s time to get a different job anyway.

*It’s common to see CBD doses at 5 mg, 15 mg, 25 mg, and 50 mg for consumer products. Researchers use much larger doses (25 mg to 1500 mg of CBD). CBD dosing is highly individualized.

Look:

The liquid is a golden brown. The viscosity is light, which is a good thing. The bottle looks like something you would find in a 19th-century general store, which makes sense because this tincture is made for cowboys. The dropper is labeled with mL markers so that you can take a lower dose, which is nice.

Overall:

R+R Medicinals is not transparent about CBD levels. I’m not too fond of that. However, that’s the way CBD marketing is now. This oil is a potent full-spectrum hemp extract with plenty of CBD, THC, CBC, and CBG. The cost is phenomenal. The taste is awful, but that’s exactly how a natural hemp extract that is this strong should taste. They offer weaker strengths if the flavor scares you.
