About the product

Sol CBD claims this is a full-spectrum hemp extract, which suggests CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids. However, they also provided us with a lab test that claimed 0% THC. Our lab test found that this extract tested positive for over 18 mg of THC. Our lab tests confirmed this is a full-spectrum hemp extract that includes CBD, THC, CBN, CBC, CBG, THCV, CBDV, and CBL.

We found that Sol CBD contained 11.2% fewer mg of CBD than suggested by their label.

You can take this product sublingually or mix with a food or drink.

About the company

Sol CBD was founded in 2015 and is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sol CBD is owned by a small company called Halcyon Publishing, which has under ten employees.

The good:

  • The 300 mg CBD product that we tested had over 312 mg of cannabinoids. Although it came up short on CBD, it has within 11.2% of the CBD claimed by the company.
  • Consumer Lab tested a Sol CBD product and found that it contained the amount of CBD claimed by the manufacturer. However, they found it cost twice as much as a similar product and provided no other cannabinoids.

The bad:

  • Sol CBD provided us with a lab test that claimed 0% THC. We found over 18 mg of THC in their product. I reached out to their customer service and they confirmed that I had the correct “lot number” and test.
  • Sol CBD specifically claims on their FAQ page “Our products do not contain THC and will not cause a failed drug test. We make sure that any traces of THC is taken out of the final product. The final product is also tested to make sure our efforts were successful.” However, our lab test found that their product did contain THC.
  • Doses as low as 0.39 mg of THC per day (administered for five days) have caused a positive urine test for THC in research. Sol CBD recommends two servings per day, which we found comes with 0.60 mg of THC per day. Sol CBD may put you at risk of a failed drug test.
  • Unfortunately, a consumer on a supplement review website claims Sol CBD caused him/her to test positive for THC, which resulted in job loss. According to the reviewer, “Cinnamint tincture shows up on drug tests! Guess who lost their job? I purposely asked if it would show up on a drug test, I was told NO.” However, they still recommended the product with five stars!
  • Sol CBD is a small company that doesn’t have much internet presence.
